Good afternoon :) Lovely day, isn't it? Not in Virginia, there's a winter storm warning up! Ah, I long for my Ontario... oh wait, it's still winter there too... dang...
Oh well, here's the kit I made for SNL 58! There's also a matching alpha :)

Sweet Apples Page Kit
Hey everyone! I hope you all like November in the T Dot :) I'm still itching to make some layouts using it!
I've got another free page kit for you. This one has a cutesy family theme. As my married name means "apple tree" in Hebrew, I thought this would be a great kit to use for my family tree :) I've got a huge apple obsession thanks to the name, haha!
Click to download!
I can say that I absolutely ADORE this kit, as egotistical as that sounds! I love the little apples and the apple frames, and the butterflies came out better than I thought they would :) This is a cute kit for family trees, your children, or anything, really!
Has anyone out there read the AMAZING book "Simple Abundance: a Daybook of Comfort and Joy" by Sarah Ban Breathnach? I know it's been out for a number of years now. My sister got me a copy and I tell you what, it's already working to make my life a little bit sweeter and enriched, day by day. I'm considering making a Simple Abundance themed kit, but I haven't decided on what the elements would be yet. It would probably be geared more toward journaling pages :)
Don't forget to check out the challenges over at DSP! Sunday Scrappers has got a great challenge going this week: make a pop art-themed layout, and get a very pretty posting bonus made by Jill of Gathered by Greenfingers! Check out all the Designer Exclusive Challenges as well, there's some excellent ones right now with great bonuses! I hope you all join Meryl Bartho's next challenge that should begin tonight or tomorrow; she's been receiving very little response to her challenges and she needs to know that we love her! :)
SNL 59 will begin in a few days, don't forget to vote your favourite colour palette! So many GORGEOUS colours submitted, it was so hard for me to vote. It looks like my second fave might be winning right now... I'm so excited to hopefully use some nice bright colours! I love all the colours so much, I want to make a couple extra kits, even if they're just mini kits. One will be for the SNL Bonus Pantry, so if you haven't joined SNL yet, now's the time to do it!
That's all for tonight! Happy scrapping!

Free Page Kit AND Mini Element Pack!!
I'm posting November in the T Dot slightly late, but it took me two months to make it, so what's a few hours? LOLOL! The kit was finished when I suddenly decided it needed a few extras, which is why the little element pack. I know element packs are typically have more like 8 items, but... yeah. This pack is mini :) I hope you like them!

And here's the mini element pack! :D

Story behind this kit: I was greatly inspired to make this after my mother in law took an AWESOME photo from a balcony, looking toward downtown Toronto! Toronto is often called the T Dot, hence the kit name. I created a colour scheme from the photo... from the bright gold of the traffic and streetlights to the rich caramels and browns and finally the cloudy grey sky with a shot of pink on the horizon, it made a very pretty colour scheme, IMO!
Layouts using this kit are to come. I'm thinking about making an alpha for this, too... a nice chocolatey glitter one!
I have yet another kit in the works, so keep your eyes peeled! It's going to be very cute :)
Happy Scrapping!

Star Ribbon freebies!
Here's another freebie! Are you getting tired of ribbons yet, LOL? Never fear, I've got some word art as well and THREE free kits coming up in the next few days (possibly a couple more if I continue on this creative streak)!
I can't thank you all enough for supporting me here in my fledgling stages of design. I'm so happy that you like these items, it really encourages me to keep making more and getting better each time (I hope!)

A glass heart alpha!
Hi everyone! I have another new freebie for you! Time is just going on by and I'm so uninspired to make the kits I was planning on, but I think I've got another one in mind and it's rather exciting :)

Making alphas is rather addicting! I've got another glass heart alpha made for my SNL 58 kit, which will be posted here in a few days. I think it's my best kit yet! I'm so excited for SNL 59!
Multiplicity 4 just wrapped up on DSP. The designers involved this time, Elizabeth, Tina, Suzanne, and Meryl pumped out some GORGEOUS kits with a very purple and silver colour scheme with the theme of love. I've officially changed my wedding celebration colours to purple and silver (they had been white and aqua)!!!
I hope you all enjoy the freebie :) There's more where that came from!
Happy scrapping!

Shiny Ribbons
Happy Tuesday, fellow scrappers! Here's another freebie from me! More ribbons, this time shiny :)

I really need to change my blog layout, LOL. And somehow fix where it won't let anyone comment. And post some recent layouts I did!
I'm currently working on the November in the T Dot kit that SHOULD have been finished in... well... November. Hah. I'm hoping to have one or two more kits done before the end of the month too, but as well all know, stuff happens! I will try my best :)

Metallic Ribbons!
Wooo, I am here with a freebie for you guys today! I scanned this metallic ribbon I'd bought on clearance and coloured it :) I think my favourite one is the teal ribbon, which I made almost two-toned.

SNL 57 kit available!
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2010 is an amazing and creative year for all of you! I apologize for my absence, but again, in the wake of my father's traumatic passing, I just couldn't bring myself to do much of anything. I thank you all for your wonderful support and well wishes. It means SO much to me that this little blog would attract such great people. May God bless you all in this coming year! *Hugs*
Mom and I spent Christmas Eve and Day at family members' houses, and while it was very hard to assume any spirit, we're so appreciative of the new, sweet memories we have formed. I have quite a number of photographs to scrap, and I've got the itch to get back to scrapping. I also grabbed a number of kits and things on closeout during DSP's massive sale; I got them all for 75% off!
Kits I've Acquired Lately:
- Snow Queen by Carole Harden
- Nighttime at the Fairy Glen I and II by Nicole Young
- Aspen by Carole Harden (okay, so I didn't actually *buy* it, it was a store freebie for buying other kits)
- Magical Blue Winter by Erica Belton
- Heart-Warming Winter II by Erica Belton
- Beautiful QuickClick by Carole Harden
- Closeout items no longer available at DSP including Erica's beautiful Alaire kit and matching AoP, Nicole's lovely Starry Starry Stitches Groupies and Sprinkle & Shine kit, and Lauren's summer-sweet Lime Time Backpack.
My SNL 57 kit is now available for your scrapping pleasure.
Click here to start your download of SMD_PlayfulMemories.zip
Playful Memories contains:
- 1 lacy stripe background
- 1 gruncy stripe background
- 1 dark rose denim background (it was the background on the SNL site, I feel special!)
- 1 grungy dots background
- 1 pink crayon heart
- 1 teal crayon star
- 1 denim matt
- 1 "Just Play" wordart
- 1 rocking horse
- 1 set of 3 puzzle pieces
- 1 set of 3 grungy frames
- 1 stitched border
I hope you enjoy! :)
The challenge for SNL 58 is up. Its theme is "The Best of Times" and the focus is Reflections. Here's the colour scheme, isn't it lovely?
I'm already plotting what my kit will look like. I'm getting excited about it!
This was another set of colours in the colour scheme vote on DSP. I'm kind of sad to see it not win, but I love it so much and want to nab it to make my own kit with. It reminds me of my vacations in Virginia Beach when I was a teen!
Have a great weekend, everyone! I hope to get off my bum and start making more freebies and expand my knowledge :)
Happy Scrapping!
